We are pleased to announce the addition of several new
collections from Weber State University – Stewart Library, as well as a
reorganization of 20 collections into existing ones with name changes to make
them more user-friendly. New collections range from student scrapbooks to Ogden-area business directories and histories. Here
are the highlights!
Ben Lomond High School Scrapbooks Since 1953, students at Ben Lomond High School
have been creating scrapbooks. These books document the memories of the
students each year. The scrapbooks hold a snapshot and time capsule of each
student body. Each one contains photographs, newspaper articles and a written
yearly history.
Harrisville City Virtual History Museum This
collection features historical documents belonging to residents in the Weber,
Davis, and Morgan Communities. The items were digitized by Weber State
University Stewart Library in support of the "History in Your Attic"
project.

Ogden Buildings by Street This
collection contains images of businesses and homes in the Ogden area. The
photographs were taken by the Weber County Assessor's Office for tax purposes.
The photographs range in date from the 1920s to the 1970s. The photographs are
organized by city and then plot number leading to an address.
Ogden High School Scrapbooks Over the past 100 years, students at Ogden High
School have been creating scrapbooks. These books document the memories of the
students each year. The scrapbooks hold a snapshot and time capsule of each
student body. Each one contains photographs, newspaper articles and a written
yearly history.
Ogden Stockyards Photographs, Memorabilia and Oral Histories The Ogden Union Stockyard was
a key fixture in the largest livestock market west of Denver during its heyday
from 1916 to 1971. The activities at the yard brought Ogden national attention
as a livestock center.

Weber County Polk Directories The Polk Directories for Ogden Utah span from
1870 to 2016. The city directory will contain an alphabetical list of citizens,
listing the names of the heads of households, their addresses, and occupational
information.
Weber State Historical Exhibits A collection of
photographic exhibits depicting the historical development of Weber State
through student and campus activities.
